PHOENIX -- D-backs third baseman Jake Lamb will have the fraying in his left rotator cuff repaired on Aug. 15 in Los Angeles by Dr. Neal ElAttrache.
The surgery will end Lamb's 2018 season, but by getting it done now, he should be ready to go when Spring Training opens next year.
"We're pleased with that," D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said. "It was a decision that Jake made that he wanted to have the surgery and that was the guy that he wanted to have do it.
