Following his Rookie of the Year campaign with the Seattle Mariners in 2020, outfielder Kyle Lewis has consistently struggled to find his grove at the plate, causing him to spend plenty of time in the minor leagues over the past couple of seasons.
The Diamondbacks, attempting to get Lewis back into his ROY form, decided to take a chance on the 28-year-old, as they traded for him back in November of last year.
However, this trade would ultimately prove to not work out.
In 2023, Lewis played in just 16 games with the Diamondbacks, and in this time, he went 8-54 at the plate with 21 strikeouts and a mere 2 RBIs.
