The Diamondbacks have reinstated center fielder Ketel Marte from the injured list, a rare bit of good news for the club after a brutal stretch on the injury front.
Marte, who had been out since April 7 due to a right hamstring strain, played the previous two days in Triple-A Reno, logging seven innings in the field on Monday followed by six more on Tuesday. He went 2 for 6 with a pair of singles and a walk.
Marte was off to a blistering start in the season’s first week before suffering the injury. In six games, he went 12 for 26 (.
