PHOENIX -- D-backs outfielder David Peralta hit his 12th home run of the season in the first inning Wednesday afternoon, but he got an assist on it by left fielder Austin Meadows.
With two outs and Jon Jay at first, Peralta lifted a deep fly to left. Meadows was backing up onto the warning track as he reached up to catch the ball.
The ball ticked off Meadows' glove and went into the stands for a two-run homer as he bounced off the wall.
