PHOENIX -- The D-backs went into Sunday's finale of a four-game series against the Pirates at Chase Field with catcher Chris Iannetta still active on the 25-man roster, but with his status still to be determined.
The D-backs played Sunday with 24 men for the second consecutive game.
Iannetta was hit in the face by a pitch from Pirates right-hander Johnny Barbato in the seventh inning Friday night and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he was treated until just after 1 a.m. MST.
"I don't remember a lot of it," Iannetta said when he addressed the media for the first time since the incident at his locker on Sunday.
