PHOENIX -- The D-backs wore their colors proud on against the Padres on Sunday, the perfect mixture of Sedona Red, Sonora sand, and black. There was also plenty of pink.
Players and on-field personnel wore the symbolic pink ribbon on their uniforms along with pink wrist bands and undershirts at Chase Field. The game also featured a pink-stitched Rawlings baseball as the official game ball, and several players on both teams, including Arizona's Mark Trumbo, Paul Goldschmidt, Nick Ahmed, and David Peralta used pink bats. In fact, D-backs second baseman Aaron Hill hit a solo home run to give Arizona a 1-0 lead in the second inning using a pink bat.
