Hellickson activated from DL, will start Monday

In addition, the D-backs will give Jhoulys Chacin a start Tuesday against the Padres. It has been a long road for Chacin this year. He was released by the Rockies in Spring Training and was signed by the Indians, but exercised an opt-out clause in his contract in June and was signed by the D-backs on June 20.

After pitching well for Triple-A Reno, the D-backs gave Chacin a pair of starts in late August and he allowed just four runs over 13 1/3 innings.

"He's proven to us now in the two starts that we've seen him, what he'd proven to our Minor League people -- that his stuff is back," D-backs manager Chip Hale said.
