Socrates Brito enters spring training as a player to watch for the Diamondbacks in large part because he is out of minor-league options, meaning he’d have to be exposed to waivers if he doesn’t make the Opening Day roster.
But Brito is more interested in a different wrinkle of his experience at the start of camp: It’s the first time he’s arrived at spring training healthy since 2016.
“It’s always fun when you come here and you’re ready to play with the guys here,” Brito said.
