If the Diamondbacks hadn’t spent the past two weeks focused on finding a new manager, General Manager Mike Hazen says he would probably have a better answer to questions about his offseason strategy.
But as it stands, he still isn’t ready to say with a high degree of certainty what tack his front office will take, even on the eve of the GM meetings, which get underway on Monday at the Omni in Paradise Valley.
“I think this team is talented; I think this team has a chance to be successful,” Hazen said. “But we also are going to be put in a position to figure out how successful, and I think that’s where the nuance will come in with how we’re looking at the roster construction.
