SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Zack Greinke's velocity was down a bit in Wednesday's start against Team Mexico, but the D-backs' right-hander wasn't concerned.
Greinke topped out at 89.5 mph in his second outing after hitting 91 mph in his first.
"No, I'd rather it be more," Greinke said when asked if he was satisfied with his velocity. "But that's just what it is at the moment. Hopefully I'll get a little better as the camp goes."
Greinke is about a week behind the other starting pitchers because he is being brought along slower this spring due to the extra 10 days built into the schedule with the World Baseball Classic.
