The D-backs placed ace right-hander Zack Greinke on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Wednesday, prior to Sunday's game againt the Giants. Greinke, sidelined with a left oblique strain, was removed from Tuesday's start at the beginning of the third inning.
In a corresponding move, Arizona reinstated Rickie Weeks Jr. from the bereavement list.
