PHOENIX -- Paul Goldschmidt's homer keyed a four-run third inning that helped make a winner of Zack Greinke as the D-backs beat the Giants, 4-3, on Friday night at Chase Field.
Trailing, 1-0, heading into the third, the D-backs strung together three straight one-out singles off Giants starter Ty Blach, the final of which was a tapper to third by A.J. Pollock that scored a run. "Goldy," as Goldschmidt's Players Weekend jersey bears, then stepped to the plate and connected on a 2-1 pitch for his 30th homer of the year to give the D-backs a 4-1 lead.
