PHOENIX -- Like precision?
Right-hander Zack Greinke used a dominant four-pitch mix to record a season-high 13 strikeouts in his longest start of the year as the D-backs ended the Rockies' seven-game win streak with a 6-1 victory at Chase Field on Sunday.
Greinke gave up two hits and one run, an Ian Desmond homer that broke up his no-hit bid in the fifth inning.
He threw first-pitch strikes to 22 of the 27 batters he faced while commanding an arsenal that slid up and down the radar gun.
