Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt was named a reserve to the National League All-Star team, and third baseman Jake Lamb is one of five players nominated for an online vote for the final spot on the roster.
Goldschmidt entered Tuesday hitting .290 with 15 homers, 56 RBIs and a .416 on-base. This will be Goldschmidt’s fourth career All-Star appearance and his fourth in a row. Both Luis Gonzalez and Randy Johnson made five All-Star appearances, tied for the most in club history.
