Corbin cruising
Left-hander Patrick Corbin has done a great job of keeping the Rockies’ hitters in check thus far at Chase Field, retiring the side in order three times through his first four innings.
The game was scoreless after four.
Corbin, however, had only allowed one hit – a double down the left-field line by catcher Dustin Garneau – in the third. Corbin also has already notched five strikeouts, which could extend the Diamondbacks’ National League record for consecutive games with 11 or more strikeouts.
