The Diamondbacks scored three times in the top of the fourth inning, getting a two-run double from Daniel Descalso and another run-scoring hit from Paul Goldschmidt to take a 5-4 lead at Marlins Park.
Descalso shot his second double of the day into the right-field corner to drive home Nick Ahmed and Rey Fuentes, who walked and singled, respectively, to open the inning.
Goldschmidt, facing reliever Dustin McGowan, put together an eight-pitch at-bat, battling back from an 0-2 hole, to line a double off the wall in left-center field. The ball came within inches of being a home run.
