Daniel Descalso, filling in for Brandon Drury at second base, blasted a three-run homer into the pool area in right field to give the Diamondbacks a 3-0 lead after four innings. Descalso made Chicago starter Miguel Gonzalez pay for a hanging curve ball he left over the middle of the plate.
Meanwhile, Zack Greinke continues to mow down the White Sox, allowing just one hit with no walks through the first four innings.
