The Brewers’ Jett Bandy launched a solo home run off Diamondbacks reliever Jorge De La Rosa, tying Friday night’s game at 1 in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Bandy pulled an 0-2 breaking ball from De La Rosa out to left field for his sixth homer of the season.
For De La Rosa, it was the latest right-handed hitter that he’s struggled to retire this season. He entered the night having allowed a .311 average and a .915 OPS against righties; he had held lefties to an .067 average (1 for 16).
The homer comes after a controversial call ended the sixth inning for the Brewers.
