Game day: Braden Shipley set for Sunday start

With Taijuan Walker still not ready to return from the disabled list, the Diamondbacks will turn to right-hander Braden Shipley to start Sunday’s series finale against the Marlins.

Shipley, who will be added to the roster from Triple-A Reno on Sunday, was in the Diamondbacks’ clubhouse on Saturday.

Shipley will be making his second big league start after giving up three runs in four innings, issuing six walks, in a loss to the Washington Nationals last month.

“It’s always easy to come up here and have a plan and know what you want to do, but when you step in between the white lines sometimes that goes astray,” Shipley said.
