Leading up to Game 3 of the NLDS, headlines buzzed with quotes from former Diamondback David Peralta, jesting about the Dodgers’ visits to Arizona feeling like home games.
Ironically, it was Peralta who found himself serenaded with boos a few hours later, as his 100-win team suffered an early postseason exit for the second consecutive year.
As reported by Bill Shaikin of the LA Times, Peralta jovially remarked, “Every time the Dodgers would come in there to play against us, it was blue. We got excited because the stadium was packed, but it was all Dodgers fans.
