The D-backs placed Jake Lamb on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, the result of a stress reaction in the third baseman's left foot.
The club promoted infielder Danny Dorn from Triple-A Reno and transferred veteran catcher Gerald Laird to the 60-day DL in corresponding roster moves.
The D-backs will lose some offensive production with Lamb sidelined. The 24-year-old was batting .414 with three doubles, one triple and nine RBIs in 10 games after making his first Opening Day roster.
Dorn has never played in the Major Leagues. In 10 games with Reno this season, the 30-year-old hit .
