After leaving St. Petersburg with a sour taste due to being swept by the Tampa Bay Rays, the Diamondbacks would take the 4 hour trip down south to take on the struggling Miami Marlins. This series would be very crucial in keeping/gaining ground on the Padres and Dodgers as their next 10 games are against teams above .500, with 4 of them being at home against the Dodgers.
Game 1 of this series would be a homecoming for a Diamondback newbie as Adrian Del Dastillo returned to his hometown, where it sounded like his friends and family outnumbered all of the Marlins in the park.
