Former General Manager Dave Stewart said during a radio interview Wednesday that if he could have one mulligan from his time with the Diamondbacks, it would be the inclusion of shortstop Dansby Swanson in the Shelby Miller trade.
“I would probably say,” Stewart told MLB Network Radio, “I should have stuck to my gut, although I think that Shelby Miller is going to be everything I thought he was going to be when I traded for him. But my gut the whole time said not to trade Dansby Swanson.”
Stewart spent two years on the job for the Diamondbacks as the GM under then-Chief Baseball Officer Tony La Russa.
