The scorching-hot Philadelphia Phillies continued their historical offensive performance this postseason with a 10-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Merrill Kelly, the D-backs’ starting pitcher, allowed just three hits in his 5.2 innings on the mound; unfortunately, all three hits happened to be solo home runs.
The onslaught began with Trea Turner in the 1st inning, followed by Kyler Schwarber, who launched two homers of his own, including a colossal 427-foot blast in the 6th inning that ultimately marked the end of Kelly’s night.
However, once the Diamondbacks did turn to their bullpen, things got ugly quickly.
