During a tribute to those afflicted with cancer between innings during Game 4 of the World Series on Saturday, Astros manager A.J. Hinch held a card with former Diamondbacks general manager Kevin Towers’ name on it.
Given the reaction on Twitter, Hinch may have revealed Towers has cancer.
Hinch was fired as manager of the Diamondbacks in July 2010, prior to the team hiring Towers as general manager a few months later.
While it doesn't appear that Towers' battle with cancer has been made public, some close to baseball, including ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, seem to have known.
