Diamondbacks right-hander Zac Gallen is expected to make yet another return from the injured list on Saturday — and he hopes he will be able to jump back into action without a blip.
Gallen, who has been out since tweaking his right hamstring on July 2, expects his pitch count to be in a relatively normal range, unlike the last time he returned from an injury.
“That’s the big thing,” Gallen said. “That’s kind of what I was kind of most worried about. But they said it’s more like an extended All-Star break. I don’t think the pitch count will be crushed too much.
