Diamondbacks right-hander Zac Gallen suffered another injury on Friday night, exiting his start against the Giants with right hamstring tightness.
Gallen crumbled to the ground in discomfort after delivering a pitch to the Giants’ Wilmer Flores in the top of the third inning. He was back on his feet under his own power a few moments later, but he eventually departed the game after a long visit on the mound with manager Torey Lovullo and a member of the club’s training staff.
It is unclear if the issue is considered serious. Gallen and Lovullo are expected to speak with reporters after the game.
