The Diamondbacks on Friday celebrated the one millionth fan to walk through the gates of Salt River Fields, but they got really excited when they saw what left fielder Yasmany Tomas did in his return after missing two weeks with a sore left knee.
The Cuban slugger wasted no time in attacking Dodgers starter Brandon Beachy, jumping on each of the first two pitches he saw and driving them to left and center field, respectively. In his third at-bat, Tomas smacked a long fly ball that sailed over the head of center fielder Trayce Thompson for a double.
