The Diamondbacks unveiled new uniforms on Thursday.
Baseball is a game with a traditional look, but the Diamondbacks are ready to change that.
As baseball’s youngest franchise, the Diamondbacks spent their first nine years wearing purple and teal before switching to Sedona red and black in 2007.
They are ready for another direction, choosing to go with a look that Major League Baseball fans have never seen on the diamond.
“We always challenge ourselves to make sure that we are as pioneering and as innovating as any team in sports – we try to be,” team President and CEO Derrick Hall said.
