Luke Weaver will remain in the rotation, manager Torey Lovullo said, a move that gives the inconsistent right-hander at least another start to sort through his issues.
Weaver gave up six runs in four innings on Wednesday against the Marlins, the team he is lined up to face again when his turn comes up next on Monday.
Weaver has given the Diamondbacks only one good outing in six starts this season. When taking out that performance — in which he dominated over seven innings of one-hit ball vs. Cincinnati — Weaver has a 7.94 ERA in his other five starts.
