The Diamondbacks put off making a roster move with infielder/outfielder Josh Rojas on Friday, with manager Torey Lovullo saying the club was still gathering information on the severity of Rojas’ injury before what to do with him.
Still, it felt like a matter of time until Rojas officially lands on the injured list. After dislocating his left pinky finger on a slide into second base on Wednesday, he did not accompany the team on its road trip to Chicago.
“With each day moving forward, I think we’re getting a little more clarity (on the injury),” Lovullo said, declining to provide details.
