MILWAUKEE – As his teammates showered and exited Miller Park late Friday night, Merrill Kelly sat in front of a laptop in the visitors’ clubhouse. Clean innings have been elusive for him in recent weeks. His search for answers has been just as perplexing.
Kelly gave up three runs in another rough first inning. He gave up a pair of long solo homers later in the outing. He walked four, three of which contributed to runs. It added up to another non-competitive start on a night when the Milwaukee Brewers cruised to a 6-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
