Nick Ahmed hustled out of the batter's box, rounded first, and noticed as he rounded second base that his extra-base hit had been mishandled in left field.

Ahmed made the decision to try for a leadoff triple, and he got it. The next batter, Jarrod Dyson, plated him with a sacrifice fly. The run gave the Diamondbacks a 1-0 lead over the Cincinnati Reds in the third inning.

They would win the game by the same score, snapping a six-game losing skid. They would also not see another Diamondbacks hitter reach first base, with Ahmed representing the club's lone baserunner for the game.
