For the fourth consecutive time, the Diamondbacks opened a road trip by getting swept, only to wind up finishing the trip on a positive note. All kinds of things could be read into this, but the simplest explanation might be the most accurate: They're not a great club. But they're not that bad, either.
And, given the season they're coming off last year and where the expectation level was on Opening Day, this actually is a positive development for them.
"I think they have to be really encouraged with the way this season has gone," a high-ranking scout with an American League club said.
