Rubby De La Rosa won’t know for at least a few weeks whether he’s in the clear with his elbow, but it’s so far so good for the Diamondbacks right-hander.
“I feel super, super good,” De La Rosa said. “I’ve been playing catch the last two weeks. I feel good. I feel 100 percent.”
De La Rosa, who dealt with elbow problems throughout last season, underwent two rounds of stem-cell therapy, one in September, then another in late December. The injections are meant to stimulate healing in the elbow, a way for De La Rosa to perhaps avoid undergoing a second Tommy John surgery.
