Facing hitters on Saturday morning, things felt a little off for Diamondbacks right-hander Rubby De La Rosa.
“I felt kind of lost,” he said.
It’s hard to blame him. It had been more than 18 months since De La Rosa had stepped on a mound with a hitter in the box. It was only a live batting practice session, but De La Rosa liked how it felt. He’s looking forward to doing it again.
Sometime soon – perhaps this week, maybe next – De La Rosa will pitch in a Cactus League game.
