Diamondbacks’ rotation lining up for opening week

The Diamondbacks’ rotation appears to be set – and has been since the start of camp – though the club is apparently not yet ready to set it in stone based on manager Torey Lovullo’s comments to reporters in recent days.

“Nothing has been handed out,” Lovullo said. “We haven’t anointed anybody (a) certain spot on this team.”

Left-hander Madison Bumgarner pitched on Tuesday night. Lefty Robbie Ray was scheduled to pitch on Wednesday, with right-hander Zac Gallen slated for Thursday, Lovullo said.

Presumably, that would leave Luke Weaver and Merrill Kelly to follow on Friday and Saturday, respectively, assuming they stay in the same order as in recent days.
