On the mound: LHP Robbie Ray's spring debut went just one batter into the second inning, but Ray came away saying he was pleased with how things went. “I felt good,” he said. “Maybe it was just the first time back out on the mound was a little jittery, but felt good, felt like the ball was coming out pretty good and threw some good offspeed.” Ray, who threw 35 pitches, walked three of the first four batters he faced, forcing his pitch count up, not exactly a good omen for a pitcher who has been trying to become more efficient.
