ATLANTA – Diamondbacks lefty Robbie Ray came away from his outing on Tuesday night feeling good about being able to contribute to a win despite a major hiccup in the Braves’ four-run fifth.
But he also came away impressed by what he saw from Braves left fielder Ronald Acuna Jr., who didn’t just hit a good pitcher’s pitch for a home run, he hit it for a tape-measure blast.
“It was not a bad pitch; I went back and looked at it,” Ray said after the Diamondbacks’ 9-6 win. “(He) was on his back knee when he hit it.
