Lucas Giolito has emerged as a new starting pitcher that the Arizona Diamondbacks are interested in acquiring this offseason.
MLB Network’s Jon Morosi reported, “Free agent RHP Lucas Giolito, 29, is drawing interest from the Dodgers, Mets, Red Sox, Diamondbacks, and Royals.”
Giolito was drafted out of high school in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals.
Last season, in particular, was an interesting one for Giolito, as he played with three different teams.
After starting the year with the White Sox, he was traded to the Angels, where he played less than 10 games before being sent to the Guardians to finish up the season.
