LOS ANGELES – When he obliterated the Double-A Southern League in 2013, Archie Bradley was said to have possessed one of the most dominant repertoires of any starter in the minor leagues. His fastball reached 98 mph, his curveball was knee-buckling and he deployed them in overpowering fashion, logging a sub-2.00 ERA in more than 100 innings.
The version of Bradley who pitched in the majors for the Diamondbacks the past two years did not have the same dominant stuff. This year’s Bradley, however, does, and he’s used it to mow through opposing hitters in the season’s first two weeks.
