One of the top prospects of the Arizona Diamondbacks has suffered a setback. Right-handed pitcher Yoan Lopez, the #5 prospect in the D-backs’ system according to mlb.com, has been placed on the Minor League disabled list because of elbow tightness and stiffness, according to Steve Gilbert at mlb.com.

The 22-year old Lopez, signed by the organization from Cuba in the offseason, is currently with the Double A Mobile Bay Bears. He is 1-6 with a 4.69 ERA in ten games, nine of them starts.
