The Diamondbacks made a blockbuster deal in the offseason to acquire Shelby Miller from the Atlanta Braves and the move hasn't worked out to say the least. Miller is 1-6 with a 7.06 ERA in 10 starts, frustrating Diamondbacks fans with his inability to simply perform. His peripheral numbers are equally as bad, registering a 30/29 strikeout to walk ratio and surrendering 10 home runs in 45 2/3 innings pitched. That equates to a 6.59 FIP and 5.67 xFIP on Fangraphs, which places his value at -0.7 fWAR.
Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Diamondbacks will place Shelby Miller on the 15-Day DL with a finger injury.
