The Arizona Diamondbacks placed right-handed pitcher Jeremy Hellickson on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring and recalled right-handed pitcher Chase Anderson from Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.
Anderson, who was optioned to Reno following Tuesday's game, was able to be recalled before the minimum 10 days due to the injury. Hellickson, 28, is 9-8 with a 4.60 ERA (66 ER in 129.0 IP), .263 opponents average (134-for-509) and 107 strikeouts in 23 starts (11 quality) this season. Anderson, 27, is 5-5 with a 4.
