The Diamondbacks will be making a lot of roster moves because the inevitable injury due to a batter getting hit in the head or hand against the Pirates happened again. Chris Iannetta will be going to the 7-Day concussion DL, suffering a broken nose after getting hit in the mouth by the pitch. The Diamondbacks operated the next two days with a short bench, coming back to bite them in the last two games of the series. In a corresponding move, the Diamondbacks haved added RHP Silvino Bracho.
Bracho isn’t the most talented pitcher in Reno right now, but given that both Rubby De La Rosa and Jake Barrett are still in the process of shaking off the rust, there is no reason to rush either back.
