The Arizona Diamondbacks started off their three-game series against the Brewers with a 3-0 win. Arizona’s winning streak now stands at four, as they sit atop the NL West with a 7-4 record.
Zac Gallen could not have been better on the mound, as he picked up right where he left off last season. Gallen threw seven shutout innings, striking out 11 and allowing just three hits. A tremendous performance against a Brewers team that entered tonight with a national league-best 7-2 record.
The D-backs struck early after a leadoff double from Ketel Marte, which managed to hug the foul line.
