Diamondbacks’ Paul Goldschmidt - 35 for 71! - sizzles at Miller Park

MILWAUKEE – In the first at-bat he ever had at Miller Park, the Diamondbacks’ Paul Goldschmidt launched a solo home run, a drive that cleared the right-center field fence in Game 2 of the 2011 National League Division Series.

He hasn’t stopped hitting here since.

In the grand scheme of baseball seasons and careers, Goldschmidt’s sample size of at-bats at Miller Park is relatively small. But his success is staggering enough to take notice. In 71 at-bats, Goldschmidt has 35 hits, including 10 doubles and seven homers.

That’s a .493 average and a .930 slugging in 17 games.
