The Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday issued a statement from Team President and CEO Derrick Hall, saying that fans will receive information about a free ticket to an upcoming game in the wake of Friday night's long lines for concessions at the team's home opener.
Despite limited attendance, fans had to wait in long concession lines and did not get the items they ordered through mobile apps, making a close game on the field much less enjoyable for many.
Technical issues were to blame, leading to long lines on the Chase Field concourses.
After issuing an apology via Twitter, the club said the issues were able to be corrected and were to be addressed and fixed immediately so as not to happen again.
