Monday was quite a day for the Diamondbacks’ Triple-A affiliate.
In a game in which the Reno Aces scored 25 (!) runs, Diamondbacks minor-league slugger Yasmany Tomas blasted four home runs and outfielder Matt Szczur hit for the cycle.
Tomas is the only Aces player to hit four home runs in a game. He homered three of the four off the first pitch. He finished with eight RBIs.
Szczur sealed his cycle with a triple and completed the feat just four days after coming back from the seven-day injured list.
Kevin Cron also blasted two home runs in the Aces' 25-8 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers.
