The Diamondbacks are quietly moving through the interview process for their open managerial position, with sources indicating the club might already have sat down with a majority of the candidates, including the perceived frontrunner, Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo.
In addition to Lovullo, the team is said by sources to be considering Triple-A Reno manager Phil Nevin, Royals bench coach Don Wakamatsu, Cardinals bench coach David Bell and broadcaster/former big league infielder Alex Cora.
General Manager Mike Hazen wouldn’t discuss any specific candidates, nor would he say how far along the team was in the interview process.
